We are excited to announce the arrival of new two new employees at the UT Extension Office.  Sabrina Beal has joined our team as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent in Greene County, and Sherry Barkley has joined us in Administration.  Both are eager to meet and assist residents in Greene County.

Sherry Barkley is the newest Administrative Team Member for the Greene County Extension Office. She comes with over twenty-three years of State Service, and is very excited to continue her career with the University of Tennessee. She resides in Tusculum with her husband, Sid, who is currently serving in the United States Army, along with their two children, Tanner and Madison.

Sherry is very active with the youth at the Union Freewill Baptist Church in Ottway where they do many outreach and community activities throughout the year. Sherry and her husband feel honored to be involved in school activities/sports at Chuckey Doak High School.

Sherry believes a strong family begins at home, and that being a part of a wonderful community helps mold character. She possesses the dedication, drive, and determination to make this journey in her new role in Extension the best for Greene County. She is anxious to meet the great folks of Greene County and serve the needs of our great communities.

Sabrina Beal joins our team as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent. Sabrina is a 2016 graduate of Morehead State University where she obtained a B.S. in Agribusiness. She has a solid educational foundation and a passion for youth and agriculture. Sabrina is excited to be an employee for the University of Tennessee in the Greene County Extension Office where she will be able to stay involved in the agriculture industry while working with the youth of tomorrow. Her goal is to provide great service to the community and become successful in the areas she is most passionate.

During her childhood involvement in 4-H and FFA, Sabrina spent her summers working with her livestock projects. Since beginning her showing career showing at a mere nine years old, she knew she wanted a career in the agricultural industry. After college graduation, she immediately started working for Sexing Technologies serving as an Embryo Technician performing various activities, searching, freezing, grading, and thawing embryos.  Soon after, she accepted a position at the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau - MSC Services as an Account Supervisor. Because Sabrina’s true passion is working with youth, she was ready to further her career by providing the same opportunities to youth that she once had in 4-H.

Throughout her involvement in the agriculture industry, she has learned how to communicate, interact, and create relationships.  Sabrina is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service at all times.  She is highly motivated, continually achieving success in her endeavors.  She will eagerly strive to do the same for Greene County as the 4-H Extension Agent.

Sabrina is well spoken, energetic, confident, and personable, all traits which make her the type of person on whom you can rely. She is committed to getting the job done and looks forward to meeting and serving your needs!  If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact her at the UT Extension Office.

Please join us on Monday, November 20, 2017 as we welcome both Sabrina and Sherry to the UT Extension, Greene County team.  Both look forward to meeting the youth, parents, volunteers, and clientele of Greene County! Please drop-in and meet the newest additions to UT Extension, Greene County!
